Tehran – Iran has executed a man accused of spying for Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, according to local media reports.
The Iranian news agency Fars confirmed that the man, identified as Ismail Fikri, was hanged on Monday morning. He had been arrested in December on charges of espionage.
Iranian authorities claim that Fikri was in contact with two Mossad agents and had passed on sensitive intelligence to them.

This marks the third execution in recent weeks related to alleged espionage activities for Israel.
Iran has repeatedly accused Israel of conducting covert operations within its borders and has intensified its crackdown on suspected spies.
