New York: Apple has officially locked in September 9 as the date for its next major product showcase, teasing the event with the tagline “Awe dropping.”
The presentation, pre-recorded at Apple Park in Cupertino, will stream globally at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET across Apple’s website, YouTube channel, and the Apple TV app.
Apple CEO Tim Cook announced apple event, sharing post on popular social media platform X (formerly twitter). “Get ready for an awe dropping #AppleEvent on Tuesday September 9”.
What we expect?
This year’s spotlight is expected to fall on four new iPhone models:
- iPhone 17 — the standard upgrade over last year’s design
- iPhone 17 Air — a thinner replacement for the Plus model
- iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max — high-end devices rumored to feature larger batteries and a redesigned camera system integrated directly into the glass back
Industry watchers suggest Apple could streamline its lineup by discontinuing the iPhone 15 series along with the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models.
More Than Just iPhones
Alongside the new smartphones, Apple is widely expected to reveal the Apple Watch Series 11 and Watch Ultra 3, while new AirPods Pro (3rd generation) may also make their debut.
