Muscat: Oman has announced the launch of its updated Golden Visa programme, set to begin on August 31, 2025. The new scheme aims to attract international investors, entrepreneurs, and skilled professionals by offering long-term residency and wider business opportunities.
The programme provides renewable residency permits for 5 or 10 years, depending on the level of investment. Options include purchasing property worth at least OMR 250,000, investing in local companies, buying government bonds, or creating jobs for Omani citizens.
Officials say the initiative is part of the country’s strategy to diversify its economy and make it easier for foreign investors to do business.

Alongside the Golden Visa, Oman has also introduced digital services such as an online commercial registry transfer system and launched the “Al Majida Companies” initiative to support leading local businesses.
Experts believe the revised programme will make Oman a more attractive destination in the Gulf, offering stability and clear pathways for long-term investment.
