Sumud Flotilla Continues towards to Gaza after Warship Confrontation

Gaza: The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) has resumed its journey toward Gaza after a tense encounter with a vessel believed to be an Israeli warship.

According to participants, the warship carried out what was described as a “hostile maneuver,” coming within five feet of the flotilla’s lead ship, the Alma. During the incident, communication with the Alma was briefly lost, raising fears of interception.

“In that moment, we were on maximum alert,” one participant said. Organizers confirmed that some crew members aboard the Alma had thrown their phones into the sea as a precautionary measure.

After several hours, communication with the Alma was restored, and the flotilla announced it would continue its mission. “We remain determined to reach Gaza and complete this humanitarian journey,” the organizers stated.

The Global Sumud Flotilla is now approaching the 120-nautical-mile mark, an area where previous aid missions have been intercepted.
