Riyadh : The standalone messaging app XChat, developed by X, is set to launch on April 17, with availability confirmed for iPhone and iPad users.
An App Store listing for the app has revealed early details, including its design, icon, and key features. The platform is positioned as a dedicated messaging service, separate from the main X app, aimed at providing a more private and focused communication experience.
According to its official description, XChat will allow users to “chat with anyone on X in a private, focused space built for conversation.”
The app is expected to emphasize privacy, with no ads or tracking, and will offer end-to-end encryption for messages.
Early previews also show features such as screenshot blocking, disappearing messages, group chats, and video calling capabilities.
