Mumbai: Sahar Yunus Shaikh, a young and emerging political figure from Maharashtra, has gained significant attention after winning a seat in the Thane Municipal Corporation elections held in January 2026.

Sahar Yunus Shaikh was born and raised in Mumbra, a densely populated suburb in Thane district near Mumbai. She comes from a family actively involved in community work and local politics.
