Hyderabad: AIMIM floor leader in the Telangana Assembly, Akbaruddin Owaisi, has said he will continue establishing educational institutions despite ongoing legal scrutiny over the Barrister Fatima Owaisi Educational KG-PG Campus.

Which is alleged to have been constructed within the Salkam Cheruvu lake area.

Addressing an event at one of his educational institutions, the Chandrayangutta MLA reaffirmed his commitment to providing free education for underprivileged students.

“If you demolish one institution, I will build 10,” Owaisi said, adding that his mission to educate poor children would continue regardless of any action taken against him.

“Even if you demolish the buildings, I will teach the children under the open sky but will not bow before you.” He further stated

Owaisi alleged that certain individuals were using their authority to pressure him and target institutions associated with him.

He said his work focuses on providing free education, supporting orphans, empowering women and offering free NEET coaching, and insisted he would not abandon these efforts.

The remarks came two days after the Telangana High Court granted state authorities one week to submit all relevant records regarding the alleged illegal constructions within the Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zone of Salkam Cheruvu.

The court also expressed displeasure over delays in complying with its earlier directions.

Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticized Owaisi’s comments, questioning why the state government had not responded to the High Court’s concerns.

He also alleged that “Congress’ support has made Owaisi this bold” and called for equal enforcement of the law.

The matter remains under judicial consideration, with further proceedings expected after the state submits the requested records.
