# Donald Trump hails Hamas response to Gaza talks, calls It a “Special Day”

**Washington D.C** - U.S. President[ Donald Trump](https://www.trump.com/leadership/donald-j-trump-biography) on Friday released a brief video message welcoming Hamas’s indication of agreement to a prisoner exchange as part of Gaza cease-fire efforts.

In the one-minute clip posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump pledged that “everybody will be treated fairly” in the negotiations.

He described the development as a major step forward, stating: “This is a very special day, maybe unprecedented.”
