# Elon Musk’s Super App X rolling out “X Money” in the US for premium and Premium+ users

**TEXAS:** Elon Musk’s vision of transforming X into an "everything app" has taken a major step forward with the launch of [X Money](https://money.x.com/), a new digital payments service now rolling out to X Premium and Premium+ subscribers across the United States.

Announcing the rollout on July 27, X Money said:

"Your money, on the world's most powerful network."

"𝕏 Money is rolling out to U.S. Premium and Premium+ subscribers starting today" wrote

The service introduces a Visa-powered digital wallet and debit card, allowing users to make instant peer-to-peer payments, spend online and in stores, and withdraw cash from ATMs worldwide.

## X Money Features

According to X, subscribers will receive:

- A virtual X Visa debit card that can be instantly added to Apple Pay

- A physical X Visa debit card for everyday purchases

- Instant peer-to-peer transfers within X Money

- No transfer fees or limits for eligible users

- No foreign transaction fees

- Free cash withdrawals at participating ATMs worldwide

The company aims to integrate financial services directly into the X platform, reducing reliance on third-party payment apps.

## Up to 6% APY for Subscribers

X is also introducing competitive savings benefits based on subscription tier.

- Premium+ subscribers (priced at $40 per month or $395 annually) automatically qualify for 6% annual percentage yield (APY).

- Premium subscribers (priced at $8 per month or $84 annually) can also earn 6% APY by linking a qualifying direct deposit to their X Money account.

In addition, users may receive:

- Up to 3% cashback on eligible purchases

- Early access to direct deposits, allowing paychecks to arrive several days sooner

These benefits position X Money as a competitor to digital banking platforms and fintech services offering high-yield accounts.

## A Key Step Toward Musk's "Everything App"

The launch reflects Elon Musk's long-standing ambition to combine social networking, payments, and financial services into one platform.

Musk originally founded X.com in 1999 as an online financial services company. The business later merged into what eventually became PayPal, one of the world's largest online payment platforms.

After acquiring Twitter in 2022, Musk rebranded the platform as **X**, repurchased the X.com domain, and repeatedly stated his goal of building an "everything app" similar to China's WeChat.

The introduction of [X Money](https://alitoday.com/tag/x-money/) marks one of the biggest milestones toward that strategy, bringing payments, banking-style services, and digital commerce directly into the social media platform.

## Everything App Market

The rollout places X in direct competition with financial technology companies such as PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, Chime, and other digital banking providers.

Building social networking with payments, rewards, and financial services, X aims to increase user engagement while expanding beyond traditional social media.

For now, X Money is available only to eligible X Premium and Premium+ subscribers in the United States, with broader expansion expected as the platform continues developing its financial ecosystem.
