In an age where students are constantly told to “pick one thing and excel at it,” 12th grader Farhan Ahmed is rewriting the rulebook. A topper in the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) stream, Farhan is also nurturing a parallel dream — to make his mark as a singer.
Scholarly Star
Nicknamed the “God of Studies” by his classmates, Farhan has an exceptional grip over subjects that most students dread. From cracking complex equations to acing practicals, his academic record speaks volumes. “Studying science trains my mind — that discipline helps me in everything else, even music,” he says.
A Heart in Harmony
When the textbooks close, the microphone comes out. Farhan’s soulful renditions of Bollywood hits and experimental indie pieces have earned him fans among friends, teachers, and local audiences alike. Music, he says, is his way of connecting deeply with emotions.

Walking the Tightrope
Balancing formulas and falsettos is no small feat, but Farhan has mastered the art. “Music refreshes me between study sessions,” he says. “And academics give me structure.” His schoolmates call him “relentlessly driven” — equally intense when solving a physics problem or hitting a high note.
Looking Ahead
Farhan plans to pursue engineering after Grade 12, possibly branching into sound engineering — a perfect fusion of his love for technology and melody. “I’d like to compose or produce music one day,” he smiles.
In Farhan’s world, there’s no either-or — science and art are different notes of the same song.
