# Gitanjali Angmo Praises Gen Z Protesters on X Post

**New Delhi:** Gitanjali Angmo, wife of climate activist [Sonam Wangchuk](https://alitoday.com/tag/sonam-wangchuk/), has praised the students protesting at **Jantar Mantar**, saying their actions have given her hope for India's future.

In a post on X, [Angmo ](https://gitanjali.in/)commended the students many of them from Generation Z—for their discipline, compassion, and peaceful conduct during the ongoing protests.

She praised them for sharing food and water, helping strangers, keeping the protest site clean, and maintaining calm despite what she described as "immense provocation."

Angmo also thanked the parents of the protesters, saying they had raised responsible and courageous young citizens.

"Watching India's Gen Z over the past few days has filled me with hope. They have looked after strangers like family, shared food and water, cleaned and swept their own protest sites, cared for the elderly, sung Jana Gana Mana and songs of hope together, stayed disciplined under immense provocation, quietly kept the movement alive through countless acts of selfless service and reminded us the courage can be peaceful. "

"To their parents, I offer my deepest respect for raising compassionate, responsible and courageous citizens. India owes you a debt of gratitude. If this is the generation we have raised, India's future is in safe hands. Indian Gen Z... you are not just the future of this country. You are role models to the world. " she wrote.

Her remarks come as the student-led protests at Jantar Mantar continue to draw support from activists, public figures, and political leaders across the country.
