New Delhi: Gitanjali Angmo, wife of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, has praised the students protesting at Jantar Mantar, saying their actions have given her hope for India’s future.
In a post on X, Angmo commended the students many of them from Generation Z—for their discipline, compassion, and peaceful conduct during the ongoing protests.
She praised them for sharing food and water, helping strangers, keeping the protest site clean, and maintaining calm despite what she described as “immense provocation.”
Angmo also thanked the parents of the protesters, saying they had raised responsible and courageous young citizens.

Her remarks come as the student-led protests at Jantar Mantar continue to draw support from activists, public figures, and political leaders across the country.
