# Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia Wound 73 People, Officials Say

**RIYADH **: Officials in [Saudi Arabia](https://alitoday.com/tag/saudi-arabia/) have reported that 73 people were wounded in attacks by Yemen's Houthi movement over the past several days, which have targeted airports, oil facilities, and other critical infrastructure.

The attacks, which mark the most intense escalation since a non-formal truce took hold in 2022, come in response to a Saudi-led airstrike on Sanaa International Airport in Houthi-controlled territory on July 13, which the group is using to justify its renewed offensive .

Houthi military spokesman [Yahya Sarea ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yahya_Saree)confirmed the group has launched multiple drone and ballistic missile strikes, claiming responsibility for attacks on Saudi Arabia's Abha International Airport and several oil facilities in the Jizan and Najran regions .
