# Ilhan Omar a US Representative has won the Democratic primary in Minnesota

**Minneapolis:** U.S. Representative [Ilhan Omar](https://omar.house.gov/) has won the Democratic primary in Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, securing a decisive victory and moving closer to another term in Congress. U.S. media projected Omar as the winner of Tuesday’s primary.
