NEW YORK : Meta has quietly launched a new app called “Forum,” designed mainly for Facebook Groups and community discussions.
The new iOS app allows users to browse their groups, create posts, and interact with an AI chatbot that answers questions using information shared inside groups.
Social media analyst Matt Navarra first spotted the app, which is now drawing attention online for its strong focus on community-based social networking.
Forum opens directly to group content instead of a traditional social feed, making it easier for users to engage with discussions and shared interests.
Meta says the app is designed to help users “connect through communities” while also bringing AI-powered tools into everyday conversations.

The launch comes as Meta continues expanding artificial intelligence features across Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook.
Industry experts believe Forum could become Meta’s next step toward building AI-driven social communities that compete with platforms like Reddit and Discord.
