Gaza Strip : In a rare moment of celebration, a large-scale mass wedding ceremony brought together 300 couples in the central Gaza Strip, Palestine on April 24.
The event, supported by the United Arab Emirates, is being described as one of the largest collective weddings ever held in the region.
According to Al Jazeera, the ceremony drew massive participation, with nearly 20,000 attendees including families, community leaders, and representatives of humanitarian organizations. The gathering created a rare atmosphere of joy and unity in an area often affected by conflict and economic challenges.
The initiative was organized under the slogan “Joy Dress 2” as part of the UAE’s broader humanitarian campaign “Gallant Knight 3.”
The wedding ceremony took place on Friday, April 24, in Deir Al Balah, Palestine and was organised under the UAE-led Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 with support from the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
The program aims to support young individuals facing financial barriers to marriage by providing them with essential resources to begin their new lives.
Organizers said the couples were selected from thousands of applicants, with priority given to residents who had never been married and who met specific financial and social criteria.

The initiative also covered wedding expenses and provided basic household items to help couples establish their homes and start own married life from zero.
The event blended cultural and religious traditions with formal proceedings.
Quranic recitations marked the solemnization of marriages, while celebrations featured the traditional Palestinian dabke dance, adding a emotional dimension to the occasion.
The wedding ceremony symbolized hope and resilience, offering a meaningful start to married life despite the ongoing challenges in the Palestine.
