Jeddah : Saudi Arabia has introduced a pilot programme for its new Package Visa, offering eligible international travellers a simplified way to book flights, accommodation and tourist visas through a single process.
The initiative is being rolled out in selected pilot markets through approved general travel and tourism service providers.
It has been jointly developed by the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and the Insurance Authority.
Under the new system, eligible visitors can arrange return flights, book accommodation at licensed hospitality facilities and complete their electronic tourist visa application through authorised travel providers.
Travellers will also have the option to include tourism experiences, events and activities while planning their visit.
The programme supports Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s tourism sector and improve access for international visitors.
Saudi Arabia has already introduced several entry initiatives, including the tourist e-Visa, visa on arrival and the Stopover Transit Visa, helping the country welcome more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025, according to the Ministry of Tourism.
Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb said the “Package Visa reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to making travel easier while strengthening partnerships with the travel and tourism sector.”
“simplify the visitor journey, support tourism service providers and demonstrate the Kingdom’s continued efforts to deliver a more seamless travel experience.” he added
Saudi authorities said integrating visa applications with travel bookings will reduce planning steps, encourage longer stays and increase visitor spending.
Only qualified travel and tourism service providers that meet operational requirements, including digital booking platforms and 24-hour technical support and customer service, will be allowed to participate in the pilot programme.
Officials described the Package Visa as another step toward building a more connected and visitor-friendly tourism ecosystem while strengthening partnerships with the private sector.
