# Telegram Restores t.me Links After Global Outage

**NEW YORK** : [Telegram ](https://alitoday.com/tag/telegram/)has confirmed that its t.me links are working again after a temporary global outage caused by a registry issue.

Telegram Official Account announced the restoration on X with a humorous post:

https://twitter.com/telegram/status/2077057471344943582?s=20

"So [http://t.me](http://t.me/) links are fixed, if you still can't use them that's a [http://t.you](http://t.you/) problem."

The outage had occurred after the .ME registry placed the t.me domain on serverHold, causing Telegram's short links for channels, groups, bots, and profiles to stop working worldwide.

While the links were unavailable, the Telegram app itself continued to function normally, allowing users to send and receive messages.

The serverHold status has now been removed, and t.me links have started working again.

However, some users may still experience temporary issues until DNS updates fully propagate worldwide.

Telegram has not yet received a public explanation from the .ME registry regarding why the domain was placed on serverHold.

The exact reason for the outage remains unknown.
