Trump ends U.S. Sanctions on Syria

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia—U.S. President Donald Trump announced he will remove U.S. sanctions on Syria during a meeting with business leaders and Saudi Arabian officials.

The decision marks a major change in U.S. policy toward Syria. Trump,, speaking in Riyadh said that it’s time to “move forward.”

The US president, Donald Trump, said he would be “ordering the cessation of sanctions against Syria in order to give them a chance at greatness”.

Trump, who is not visiting Israel on this trip, also said the situation in Gaza needs to improve. He shared these views while in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during his Middle East visit.
