# xAI is now SpaceXAI, Rebranded with a new Logo

**Texas **: The Elon Musk's AI Company "xAI" its rebrand to [spaceXAI ](https://x.ai/)with a new logo, bringing several of his major non-Tesla businesses under a single corporate structure.

The announcement was made on X, confirming that SpaceXAI now combines SpaceX, [xAI](https://alitoday.com/tag/xai/), and the recently acquired coding platform Cursor.

The move formalizes Musk's earlier statement in May that xAI would no longer operate as a separate company under SpaceX.

The merger is part of Musk's long-term vision of developing space-based data centers. Following the announcement, the company is expected to continue exploring advanced AI infrastructure beyond Earth.

Earlier, Musk argued that "global electricity demand for AI simply cannot be met with terrestrial solutions."

SpaceX has already filed an application with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) seeking approval to launch one million satellites for a future space-based data center.

The combined company was valued at $1.25 trillion following the merger, although it has faced challenges, including the departure of several xAI co-founders and criticism over enterprise adoption of its Grok AI model.

Rather than focusing solely on developing frontier AI models, the company has expanded into renting high-performance computing infrastructure.

Google has reportedly agreed to pay $920 million per month for GPU capacity from the Colossus data centers in Memphis through 2029.

Earlier this year, [SpaceX ](https://alitoday.com/tag/spacex/)also acquired coding platform Cursor in a deal reportedly worth $60 billion.

Meanwhile, SpaceX, xAI, and X entered the public market in June, with limited shares pushing the combined company's valuation to approximately $2.1 trillion.

Although the new branding has yet to appear in official regulatory filings, the company's website has already been updated to display the SpaceXAI name and logo.
