Ratan Tata, who used to be in charge of Tata Sons, died on Wednesday at a hospital in Mumbai. He was 86 years old.
He had been very sick and was in the hospital’s intensive care unit for the last few days. On Monday, Ratan Tata mentioned that he was having regular health checks because of his age.
After hearing about Ratan Tata’s death, the Mumbai Police are planning to increase security at Breach Candy Hospital where he passed away.
It’s said that the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, might visit the hospital tonight.
Earlier this week, there were stories about Ratan Tata being in the hospital, but he told everyone not to worry as he was just getting his usual medical tests done.

However, concerns went high as reports suggest his condition has worsened. Ratan Tata on Monday took to social media to address the rumors about his healthsaid, “There is no cause for concern. I remain in good spirits.” Tata explained that his medical evaluations were routine and asked the public and media to refrain from spreading misinformation.
Ratan Tata was a very important businessman in India. He became the leader of Tata Sons in 1991. When he was in charge, he made the Tata Group much bigger by buying foreign companies like Tetley, Corus, and Jaguar Land Rover.
This helped Tata become known all around the world, not just in India, and made the company worth more than $100 billion.
Ratan Tata stopped working as the head of Tata Sons in December 2012. After him, Cyrus Mistry took over, but sadly, Mistry died in a car crash in 2022.
