Riyadh: The Moscow Transport Authority, in cooperation with RT Arabic, has launched a new media campaign under the slogan “Your Best Destination!” to welcome visitors from the Middle East and North Africa.

Moscow has become an increasingly popular destination for Arab tourists, known for its rich history, architecture, and cultural landmarks.

As part of the initiative, posters in Arabic have been placed across the city’s public transport network, blending Russian and Arab cultural symbols. Alongside Moscow’s iconic Matryoshka doll, the posters feature the Arabic coffee pot, symbolizing hospitality.

The campaign also introduces specially designed Troika transport cards, essential for using the metro, buses, and trams. A new section titled “Hello, Moscow!” or “Marhaban, Moskva” has been added to RT Arabic’s website, offering updates and practical information to help Arab travelers navigate the city’s transport system.

Maksim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, highlighted the city’s commitment to foreign visitors. He said: “Moscow is one of the world’s leading tourist destinations, and in line with the directives of Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, we are working to make travel in the city easier and more comfortable, including for foreign visitors. For the second time, in cooperation with RT Arabic, we are introducing projects that help Arabic-speaking travelers discover Moscow’s reliable and convenient transport network.”

Maya Manaa, Director of RT Arabic, welcomed the initiative, noting the growing Arab presence in the city. She said: “I feel joy when walking in Moscow and hearing tourists speaking Arabic, seeing their admiration for the city’s beauty, and their excitement at finding Arabic greetings across the capital. Our colleagues at the Transport Authority, like RT Arabic, are committed to making Moscow accessible and enjoyable for visitors from the Middle East.”

The Arabic-language posters will remain across Moscow until October 2025, coinciding with the city’s peak tourism season and in the lead-up to the Russia–Arab World Summit scheduled for October 14–15, 2025.
