Washington D.C – U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday released a brief video message welcoming Hamas’s indication of agreement to a prisoner exchange as part of Gaza cease-fire efforts.
In the one-minute clip posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump pledged that “everybody will be treated fairly” in the negotiations.
He described the development as a major step forward, stating: “This is a very special day, maybe unprecedented.”
The remarks come after Hamas issued an official response to Trump’s cease-fire proposal, signaling readiness to free captives under an exchange formula, conditional on the withdrawal of ‘Israeli’ forces from Gaza.
