The Egyptian lynx is a medium-sized wild cat found in dry, desert areas. It grows to about 60 to 130 cm long and can run as fast as 80 km/h when chasing prey. This predator usually hunts small animals like rodents, making its attack on humans very unusual.
Authorities are now looking into how this rare event happened. More updates may follow as they learn about the lynx and its journey across the border. For now, the soldiers are receiving medical care, and the lynx is under observation.
