Elon Musk, the renowned billionaire and CEO of various companies including Neuralink, has welcomed his third child with Shivon Zilis, who holds the position of director of special projects at Neuralink.
According to Bloomberg’s report on Friday, the couple had another child earlier this year, adding to the twins they had in 2021. This news highlights Musk’s expanding family and his ongoing professional collaborations within his companies.
According to court documents that showed Musk filed a petition to change the twins’ names to “have their father’s last name and contain their mother’s last name as part of their middle name.”
Elon Musk, the well-known entrepreneur and CEO of various companies, has a total of 11 publicly known children. These include five children with his first wife, Justine Musk, three children with the musician Grimes, and now three children with Shivon Zilis, who is associated with Neuralink. Neuralink, a company co-founded by Musk, focuses on the development of brain-computer technology.

The recent news of Musk having another child with Zilis comes shortly after reports from The Wall Street Journal about Musk’s alleged involvement in “boundary-blurring relationships” with female employees at SpaceX.
One former employee claimed that Musk had asked her to have his children multiple times. She declined the offer and subsequently faced challenges at work, including being denied a raise. Eventually, she left the company and received an exit package worth over $1 million.
This news sheds light on Musk’s personal life and the ongoing scrutiny surrounding his professional conduct within his companies.

Musk has talked publicly for years about his views on the risks of declining birth rates and has said he considers the issue to be the biggest threat to civilization. He has also said he’s encouraged his friends to have more children. A day after Business Insider reported he had fathered twins with Zilis, he posted on X that he’s doing his best “to help the underpopulation crisis.”
Elon Musk is not the only tech mogul who believes in reproducing as a means to safeguard humanity. This ideology has gained popularity among influential individuals who think that producing genetically superior children can help mitigate the risks associated with declining birth rates.
As for Shivon Zilis and Elon Musk, they have not yet responded to requests for comment regarding this matter.
