Up to 6% APY for Subscribers X is also introducing competitive savings benefits based on subscription tier. Premium+ subscribers (priced at $40 per month or $395 annually) automatically qualify for 6% annual percentage yield (APY). Premium subscribers (priced at $8 per month or $84 annually) can also earn 6% APY by linking a qualifying direct deposit to their X Money account. In addition, users may receive: Up to 3% cashback on eligible purchases Early access to direct deposits, allowing paychecks to arrive several days sooner These benefits position X Money as a competitor to digital banking platforms and fintech services offering high-yield accounts. Musk originally founded X.com in 1999 as an online financial services company. The business later merged into what eventually became PayPal, one of the world's largest online payment platforms.
