YouTube is bragging about its success with YouTube Shorts, its version of TikTok, especially as TikTok faces a possible ban in the U.S.
YouTube says Shorts now gets over 70 billion views every day, and more than 25% of YouTube creators who are part of the Partner Program make money from Shorts.
This news comes right after TikTok announced its creator fund had grown revenue by over 250% in the last six months.

YouTube started letting Shorts creators make money in September 2022, changing its Partner Program rules so Shorts creators could qualify with 1,000 subscribers and 10 million Shorts views in 90 days.
They get 45% of ad revenue from Shorts.

YouTube says its Partner Program now has over 3 million creators worldwide and has paid out $70 billion in the last three years.
This includes money from Shorts and other ways creators earn on YouTube. YouTube’s message seems to be that it’s a bigger money-maker for creators than TikTok.
