Riyadh: Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodríguez have deepened their connection with Saudi Arabia by purchasing luxury homes at the Kingdom’s high-end Red Sea destination, one of the world’s most exclusive island retreats.
Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind the ambitious regenerative tourism project on Saudi Arabia’s west coast, announced on Monday that the couple has acquired two ultra-luxury villas at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residence.
Nujuma forms part of the Red Sea Residences collection, which includes just 19 ultra-private villas located on untouched white-sand islands surrounded by crystal-clear waters. The secluded destination lies nearly 26 kilometres from the mainland and is accessible only by chartered boat or seaplane.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez, who have visited the Red Sea several times since the first resorts opened, reportedly purchased two separate villas one three-bedroom residence designed for family stays and a more intimate two-bedroom villa intended for private getaways.

Speaking about the destination, Ronaldo described the Red Sea as “a truly remarkable place,” adding that he and Georgina felt an immediate connection to its natural beauty and calm atmosphere.
The Red Sea destination is one of the flagship projects under Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at positioning the Kingdom as a global luxury tourism hub while prioritising sustainability.
According to RSG, the development is powered entirely by renewable energy and is designed to achieve a 30 percent net conservation benefit for local ecosystems by 2040.
The purchase further highlights growing international interest in Saudi Arabia’s luxury tourism sector, as global figures increasingly invest in the Kingdom’s next-generation destinations.
