Saudi Arabia launches second ‘Global Harmony’ Initiative with ‘India Week’ Celebration

Riyadh – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Media has launched the second edition of its ‘Global Harmony’ initiative on November 2, 2025, marking the start of the Riyadh Season with ‘India Week’ as its inaugural celebration.

The initiative, part of the Quality-of-Life Program under Saudi Vision 2030, aims to showcase the cultural diversity and integration of the Kingdom’s residents while promoting cross-cultural appreciation and coexistence.

The weeklong celebration highlights India’s rich heritage through a series of musical performances, traditional dance shows, and authentic Indian culinary experiences.

Prominent Indian artists and performers are participating in the events, which reflect the strong cultural and historical bonds between the two nations.

Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, commended the initiative, describing it as “a significant step in strengthening cultural ties between India and Saudi Arabia.”

He praised the Ministry of Media for “its continued efforts to promote global understanding and cultural exchange.”

The broader ‘Global Harmony’ initiative will celebrate 14 different cultures represented within the Kingdom, each with its own dedicated week of concerts, art displays, and interactive activities for residents and visitors alike.

The Ministry of Media seeks to position Saudi Arabia as a hub of cultural coexistence and international friendship, aligned with the goals of Vision 2030 to foster openness, inclusivity, and a vibrant society.
