Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh — A disturbing allegation has emerged from Pundri Kala village in Bijnor district, where a Muslim Kashmiri woman has accused the village head of repeatedly sexually assaulting her over a period of 10 days. The survivor, identified as Sadia Javed, has alleged that the accused, village head Sandeep Rathi, raped her multiple times. According to her statement, she approached the authorities and formally submitted a complaint, but no First Information Report (FIR) has been registered so far. The delay in initiating legal proceedings has raised serious concerns about access to justice, police accountability, and the treatment of sexual assault complaints when the accused holds a position of power.
