Dubai has witnessed a significant rise in religious conversions this year, with more than 3,600 people embracing Islam in the first six months of 2025, according to the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD).

The conversions were recorded through the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Islamic Culture, which plays a central role in introducing Islamic teachings and values to non-Muslims. The centre also reported that over 1,300 students enrolled in its educational programmes during the same period.

As part of its outreach efforts, IACAD launched several initiatives, including the “Sustainable Knowledge Room”, an interactive learning space aimed at enhancing understanding of Islam and promoting cultural dialogue.

The Centre also organised 47 awareness and educational sessions, benefiting more than 1,400 participants. Officials say these efforts are part of Dubai’s broader vision to encourage religious awareness, harmony, and respect for cultural diversity.
