Iranian authorities have arrested 18 people accused of working for Israeli intelligence, according to a report by Fars News Agency on Saturday.
The suspects were reportedly based in the northeastern city of Mashhad and were planning to build and use surveillance and attack drones.

Officials told Fars that the arrests were made before any operations could be carried out.
Fars News Agency is operated by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which is one of the main branches of the country’s armed forces.
