The Israeli military announced on Sunday a “tactical pause” in its operations in specific areas of the Gaza Strip, citing humanitarian purposes as the reason for the decision.
In a statement published on its official Telegram channel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said, “The pause will begin in the areas where the IDF is not operating: Al-Mawasi, Deir el-Balah, and Gaza City, every day until further notice.”

The army added that “designated secure routes” would be established to ensure the “safe passage of humanitarian convoys.”
which is set to continue “daily until further notice,” comes amid ongoing international pressure to facilitate humanitarian access to civilians in the war-torn enclave.
