Israeli religious figure, Him Yosef Abergel, a high-profile rabbi in Israel, was accused of serious allegations of sexual misconduct, after an investigation by Channel 12 revealed a series of testimonies accusing him of abusing his position to target women and minors.
The accounts detail repeated incidents of inappropriate touching, hugging, kissing, and indecent exposure, some involving girls as young as 12.
One woman claimed the rabbi tried to silence her with gifts and money, warning her not to talk about what happened, and told her, “What happened was acceptable… God loves you and protects you, that’s why I’m close to you.”

Many women described that how rabbi manipulated during private meetings, and some said they were threatened or pressured by people in the rabbi’s gang to remain silent.
He is allegedly involved in exploiting many women sexually and mentally. Since the broadcast aired, many victims who have been vocal about these incidents have come forward with similar allegations.
A police investigation is expected to be launched. The rabbi’s lawyer has denied all accusations.
