Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh – A chilling wave of terror has gripped a family in Jaunpur district as notorious criminals, identified as Mafia Arman Ali and Mafia Afzal Shaikh, continue to issue violent threats despite an FIR lodged against them. On the night of April 8, 2025, the situation escalated dramatically when gunshots rang out at the family’s residence, accompanied by explicit death threats from the accused. The FIR, registered at Maharajganj Police Station, has seemingly failed to prompt any action, leaving the family in a state of perpetual dread.
In a deeply disturbing account, a local family has come forward alleging a sustained campaign of intimidation and threats orchestrated by two individuals — Arman Ali and Afzal Shaikh — reportedly associated with a gang known for its involvement in serious criminal cases registered at the same police station.
According to the complainant, this is not an isolated event but part of an ongoing effort to terrorize the family. Those allegedly targeted include Sajid Ali Shaikh, Gulsher Shaikh, Meraj Ali Shaikh, Asif Ali Shaikh, Imran Khan, Nadeem Ali Shaikh, and Javed Ali Shaikh.
Despite the gravity of the accusations, Arman Ali and Afzal Shaikh are said to be moving freely in the area, allegedly issuing open threats and signaling their intent to kill. Meanwhile, the family claims they are living under constant fear, with no effective protection or resolution in sight.
This is not the first encounter with these alleged mafias. The family recounts a previous horrifying incident where Arman and Afzal, along with their gang, stormed their village home. “They brutally attacked my cousin and grandfather with sticks and threatened to kill my grandmother and others,” the complainant stated, adding that no action followed despite the gravity of the assault. The lack of response from authorities has emboldened the accused, who now operate with apparent impunity, leaving the family to question whether justice will only arrive after a tragedy strikes.
In a direct appeal to the Uttar Pradesh Police and the Director General of Police (DGP), the family has pleaded for immediate protection and decisive action against the perpetrators. “Will action be taken only after someone dies?” they asked, their words echoing a broader concern about law enforcement’s responsiveness in the region. The involvement of individuals with documented criminal records raises serious questions about the effectiveness of local policing and the safety of residents in Jaunpur district.
As of now, the Maharajganj Police Station has yet to comment on the delay in addressing the FIR or the ongoing threats. With the family’s lives hanging in the balance, the spotlight is on the Uttar Pradesh administration to break this cycle of fear and deliver swift justice. The clock is ticking, and the people of Jaunpur await answers—will the authorities act before it’s too late?
