Comedian Joe Rogan predicts has made a scary prediction about Tesla’s new robot called Optimus. Rogan shared his concerns after watching a demonstration of the humanoid robot on his Spotify podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.
During the podcast, Rogan and his guest, Dr. Debra Soh, a neuroscientist, journalist, and author, discussed how Optimus reminded them of the movie “I, Robot,” which is about robots turning against humans. They were particularly alarmed by the actions demonstrated by Optimus, such as squats and dancing.
In the podcast, Rogan seemed surprised to learn about Optimus and asked if Tesla was behind its creation. He expressed his worry, saying, “Godda**it, Elon, what are you doing? This is I, Robot.”

The video they watched was a demo of the Optimus Generation 2, which highlighted features like Tesla-designed actuators, sensors, and a 2-DoF actuated neck.
In simple terms, Rogan and his guest saw a video of Tesla’s new robot, and they were worried that it might become like the robots in a movie where they turn against humans. Rogan was surprised by the robot’s capabilities and questioned why Tesla was creating it.
