King Salman of Saudi Arabia has announced that he will personally fund the Hajj pilgrimage for 1,000 Palestinians from families of martyrs, prisoners, and wounded individuals this year.

This initiative is part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit, managed by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance.

Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs and program supervisor, thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their kind gesture. He said this shows Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support for Palestinians and strengthens the bond of Islamic unity.

The minister explained that this effort continues the Kingdom’s commitment to helping Palestinians perform Hajj. The ministry has already started a detailed plan to provide all necessary services, ensuring a smooth experience for the pilgrims from their departure to their return, including their stay in Makkah and Madinah.

Since the program began in 1417 AH (1996), it has welcomed over 64,000 pilgrims from various countries. This reflects Saudi Arabia’s dedication to serving Islam and Muslims, solidifying its role as the heart of the Islamic world.
