Worlds renowned Tech Company Apple appoints new COO After step down later this year by jeff williams, after nearly three decades at Apple Over 40 Years in tech industry.

Apple CEO Tim Cook described him as “a brilliant strategist” and “one of the central architects of Apple’s supply chain.”

“Sabih leads with heart and values, and I know he will make an exceptional chief operating officer. He helped ensure that Apple can be nimble in response to global challenges,” he added.

Sabih Khan remarkable journey began in 1966 in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh—far from the tech corridors of Silicon Valley.

He was Born into a traditional Indian Muslim family, Khan’s early years were shaped by small-town life until his family moved to Singapore when he was ten. This shift opened doors to international education and global perspective.

Sabih Khan went on to earn dual degrees in economics and mechanical engineering from Tufts University, followed by a master’s in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

These credentials laid a strong foundation for a career that would eventually shape the future of one of the world’s largest tech companies.

He began his career at GE Plastics, now SABIC, before joining Apple in 1995 in its procurement division. Over the next 30 years, Khan steadily rose through the ranks, becoming Apple’s Senior Vice President of Operations in 2019.

In this role, Khan led Apple’s vast global supply chain, ensuring seamless product rollouts across continents. Under his leadership, Apple strengthened its manufacturing footprint in both Asia and the United States while also advancing sustainability and ethical sourcing.

Sabih Khan’s story is one of quiet determination, technical excellence, and global impact—an inspiring path from Moradabad to the heart of Apple’s operations.

Earlier, Apple CEO Tim Cook praised Sabih Khan for helping reduce the company’s carbon footprint by over 60%.

He said that the 59-year-old played a key role in bringing new technologies and smart methods to make Apple’s manufacturing better and more efficient. Khan also worked to grow Apple’s production in the United States.
