India – A political row has erupted in Uttar Pradesh after Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) leader Shivendra Bahadur Singh issued a controversial statement against AIMIM state president Shaukat Ali.
Singh declared that a “reward of Rs 11 lakh” would be given to anyone who brings Shaukat Ali’s “tongue… cut off” following remarks Ali allegedly made against Suheldev during a public event in Bahraich.
The incident has intensified tensions, with an FIR registered against Shaukat Ali and AIMIM district president Firoz Bagwan under sections related to communal harmony and national integrity.

The Subhaspa leader’s statement has triggered sharp reactions. Party workers in Balrampur and Rasda staged protests, raising slogans and burning effigies of Shaukat Ali.
