Texas -Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, has officially launched Grokipedia, a new AI-driven online encyclopedia designed to rival Wikipedia a platform Musk has often criticized for its “left-wing bias.”
Currently in its version 0.1, Grokipedia hosts over 885,000 AI-generated articles, a fraction of Wikipedia’s seven million English entries. Despite the smaller scale, Musk expressed confidence that the platform will soon evolve.
He announced that version 1.0 will follow soon, promising it will be “10 times better” and focused solely on “the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.”
Musk delayed the platform’s initial September release to eliminate what he described as “propaganda.” According to xAI, Grokipedia will use the company’s Grok chatbot to help generate and verify content, combining conversational AI with factual data sources.
The tech billionaire has long accused Wikipedia of being “far-left controlled” and unfit as a factual reference. His latest project appears to be an attempt to build what he calls a truth-centric alternative a platform free from ideological influence.

Wikipedia, founded in 2001, is operated by a global network of volunteers and maintains that it offers content from a neutral point of view.
However, Musk’s new venture signals a growing push toward AI-driven information platforms that challenge existing models of online knowledge sharing.
Musk once again positions himself at the center of the debate over bias, truth, and AI’s role in shaping the future of information.
